Aries étudier en France

Foreign Students

France offers exceptional cultural diversity and high-level academic standards in the digital field.

Consult our courses and training on the main webpage to discover what Aries offers through its 5 schools in Rhône-Alpes (Lyon, Grenoble, and Annecy), the South of France (Aix-en-Provence and Toulouse).

Conditions of study in France

To be able to study in a higher education institution in France, you must:
    • be authorized to study on a higher education programme in your home country
    • have a sufficient level of French to be able to follow the courses in French as attested by the Common European Framework Of Reference For Languages (CECR).

If you fulfil these conditions, you can enrol at Aries by sending your request to the International Relations Department clemence.auger@aries-esi.net

If you are accepted, you will be able to apply to your French Consulate for a student visa, unless you are a UE or EEA citizen and do not require a visa. Once you are in France, you will be able to ask for a long-term permit for studies (VLTS).

The Campus France Agency’s website provides with a lot of information about the application process for study in France. For some programmes, as Aries is a member of the Campus France Forum, you can apply through their online platform CampusArt and benefit from support in the administrative process.

Health insurance

Health insurance is mandatory for students in France. France is the only country which provides a specific health insurance institution dedicated to students. Depending on your age and your home country, you will have to follow a specific course of action to ensure that you have health insurance cover. Please go to the French Health Insurance to know which case applies to you.

Language requirements

Aries requires a minimum of a B2 level in French, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), for a student to be able to follow the classes without linguistic assistance. If you come to Aries through the Erasmus+ program, Online Linguistic Support is provided:  : http://erasmusplusols.eu/fr/

Integration

Aries is happy to welcome foreign students, and pays special attention to your integration and stay into the community.

The pedagogical teams in the schools are committed to aiding you in the preparation of your arrival (help to find an apartment, with administrative formalities, useful information on the city)

On arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport by a member of the school, and your first week will be dedicated to visiting your school, your city and introducing you to our faculty.

You will then be assigned a student mentor and a faculty advisor for the duration of your courses at Aries, who you will be able to refer to as needed.

Students from a partner university

To participate in an exchange programme, your school must have a cooperation agreement or an Erasmus agreement with Aries. Aries international partners are listed in the “International Partnerships” page.

Please refer first to the International Relations Office of your home institution, who will help you with your application to study at Aries.

Individual student

You are welcome to join Aries even if you are not a student of a partner university!

Please read carefully the “Conditions to study in France” section above to find out what is required to be able to enrol at Aries.

Once you have done this, please apply to Aries through the International Relations office: Responsable Relations Internationales : Clémence Auger – clemence.auger@aries-esi.net – +33(0)4 76 40 00 00
