After the French "Baccalauréat" or any equivalent, the three year Game Design Bachelor trains future video game makers, playing key roles in the creation process of a game.

The Game Designer creates the concept of the game. He/She define the strategy and its main components: scenario, environment, rules, characters, gamer’s progression…

Pedagogical Objectives

During the three-year Game Design Bachelor programme, students work in multidisciplinary teams to create original and relevant game concepts. They work on their analytical skills, become aware of the economic issues of the industry. They learn to screen write and develop game mechanics.

Multiple workshops will assist them to allow a better understanding of the reality of other video gaming functions.

They also develop their focus, they learn different work methodologies according to the size of the team and the available resources, and how to be reactive when facing production uncertainties. During the workshops, each student embodies a different role of the production process, to enable him/her to understand that every function is key to obtaining the final product


Game Designer, Level Designer, Associate Producer.


  • Multiple workshops under real creation studio conditions, and a joint work with Game Art Bachelor programme students.
  • Several game prototypes created on software and professional game engines.
  • Three game prototypes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year defended in front of a professional jury.
  • A minimum of two months’ internship in the 3rd year.


Conditions of admission Game Designer Bachelor

Required diploma: French Baccalauréat or any equivalent (final exam of secondary school giving access to higher education system). Process: Application form, test and interview to assess the general and artistic knowledge of the candidate.
